Jim Jordan drops a 57-page report accusing Jack Smith and the Biden DOJ of trying to tilt the 2024 election with public disclosures of his probe’s findings.

The report alleges DOJ’s own Public Integrity Section warned subpoenas to lawmakers could be unconstitutional but approved them anyway, calculating there was little “litigation risk” because the gag orders would keep lawmakers in the dark. Members of Congress were reportedly unaware of the surveillance for more than two years.

Jordan says Smith’s team “ran roughshod over key constitutional protections” and broke protocol by releasing a massive trove of alleged evidence weeks before the 2024 presidential election to sway public opinion. The report also claims Smith privately admitted to then-AG Merrick Garland that lawmakers “likely have a valid Speech or Debate privilege” — but Garland gave his blessing to proceed anyway.

Story here:

@SenMikeLee said Jack Smith’s collection of lawmakers’ records and preservation orders for the Special Counsel probe into President Trump “implicates the Fourth Amendment in a very direct way.”

Fourth Amendment guards against unreasonable searches and seizures by the government

During the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing:

– Senator Lee revealed that Jack Smith’s team issued “preservation” requests to Apple
– Can include ALL devices attached to Apple account
– Ordered Apple NOT to disclose the request
– Smith’s team should be alerted first

Smith, “I don’t have a recollection of specific requests”

Smith confirmed Federal Judge (Boasberg) who signed off on gag orders/non-disclosures was kept in the dark about the subpoenas’ target

BREAKING: Statement From Sean Davis, CEO and Co-Founder of The Federalist:

Corrupt cop Jack Smith spied on The Federalist and accessed our communications during his lawless anti-Trump witch hunt. We are still working to determine which of our reporters were targeted by Jack Smith and which journalistic communications he and his thugs seized.

The latest facts about Jack Smith’s illegal jihad were released by Sen. Charles Grassley during a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on Tuesday.

The Federalist’s team of investigative reporters exposed the Russian collusion hoax. We exposed the Kavanaugh hoax. We exposed the Ukraine impeachment hoax. And The Federalist’s Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway wrote the definitive account of how Democrats seized control of election infrastructure and destroyed the integrity of American elections in 2020.

For over a decade, The Federalist has fearlessly exposed Deep State corruption and DOJ lies and lawfare. Spying on us was apparently part of Jack Smith’s plot to get revenge against us.

The First Amendment is the bedrock of the American Constitution. A free press is integral to the American republic and our entire way of life. And Jack Smith fed the whole thing through a shredder in his insane and illegal attempt to rig the 2024 elections through lawfare, intimidation, and unconstitutional attacks on free speech and the First Amendment.

As shocking as this news may be to some, I am not surprised to learn of this behavior by Jack Smith and the Biden administration. At the direction of the Biden administration, the federal government illegally censored The Federalist, tried to bankrupt us, and was eventually forced to admit it had zero legal authority to do any of it.

We took these thugs to court and won when we learned of their illegal censorship efforts, and we will explore all legal options going forward to deal with Jack Smith’s lawless and un-American attempts to silence us by spying on us.

Nobody in corporate media said a word in our defense when we were illegally censored. Outlets like CNN and the New York Times, which posture as First Amendment purists, had nothing to say about the Biden administration’s illegal attempts to punish us for our rigorous and accurate journalism.

I have zero doubt that they will be similarly silent today, because they are partisan hacks who supported Jack Smith’s egregious lawfare every step of the way.

Unlike corrupt corporate media, The Federalist will always fearlessly and accurately report the news, even in the face of never-ending Democrat assaults on the First Amendment, free speech, and freedom of the press.

We will never back down, and we will never stop reporting the facts and defending the greatest nation and greatest people on earth. Hillary Clinton couldn’t stop us, Joe Biden couldn’t stop us, and Jack Smith’s corrupt thuggery won’t stop us.

Jack Smith spent today telling the Senate he was righteous. The record Grassley dropped says his team scooped up the personal checks of almost 5,000 small-dollar Trump donors and handed their home addresses and bank details to the Biden DOJ and FBI. That’s not a case against Trump. That’s a fishing net over people who wrote $10 checks. It also looks terrible for Smith and anyone who defended his work. He spent tax dollars looking into people who did nothing more than make a tiny donation to Trump. That’s absurd. It should be illegal.

Smith testified this morning that he had proof beyond a reasonable doubt Trump committed serious crimes and that he’d do it again to a president of either party. Smith can argue the two Trump cases. That’s his prerogative. Don’t pretend a $10 donor in Osage, Iowa, was part of a plot. Grassley’s committee says Smith’s Arctic Frost team collected at least 4,782 checks from September 2019 through August 2023, from all 50 states. The checks show addresses, account numbers, routing numbers, and signatures. That’s a gross invasion of privacy and an abuse of power.

Arctic Frost started as the FBI’s election investigation and became Smith’s case. Investigators can follow money in a criminal probe. That part is normal. What’s not normal is treating every small donor like a suspect and parking that person’s banking information inside the FBI. Once those records are in the building, they don’t leave.

Smith said he won’t be silenced. Nobody’s asking him to be silent. They’re asking why a special counsel needed the checking account of a person who sent Trump ten dollars. If the answer is “because we could,” that’s the abuse. That abuse should be a crime if it isn’t already.

A government that collects the bank info of its political opponents’ small donors isn’t enforcing the law. It’s building a list. Smith can keep reciting “beyond a reasonable doubt.” The $10 check is the part the public understands.
