LAW: ISF places interns in judges’ chambers, where it says they may draft bench memos, orders and opinions.

Placements include Judge Royce Lamberth and First Circuit Judge O. Rogeriee Thompson.

ISF promotes a path from internships to clerkships and judgeships.

Funders include Doris Duke, Fidelity Charitable, PayPal Giving Fund and El-Hibri. Doris Duke gave $500,000 for a Sundance partnership.

ISF says its endowment follows Islamic Waqf principles, supports “Shariah-compliant projects” and uses Sharia-compliant investments.
